Franklin D. Wilson

Franklin D. Wilson, 74, of Clarks, Nebraska, died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Genoa Long Term Care in Genoa, NE.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Reverend Ralph Supernaw and Reverend Jim Parker officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.  Visitation will be Monday, December 27, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. 

Frank was born on August 9, 1936, in Alanthus Grove, MO, to Beldon and Georgie Marie (Smith) Wilson.  He grew up in Stanberry, MO and received his education at Rural Gentry County grade schools.  He graduated from Stanberry High School in 1954. 

He entered the United States Missouri Army National Guard on September 30, 1957 and was honorably discharged on December 15, 1965. 

He was united in marriage to Patricia I. (Molt) Qualls on August 19, 1966 in St. Joseph, MO.  The couple lived on the family farm near Stanberry, MO where he farmed for eighteen years.  Then they moved to Maryville, MO in 1973, and worked in Manufacturing as a supervisor.  In 1979, they moved to Columbus, NE where he continued his work in Manufacturing until retiring in 1997, and then they moved to Clarks, NE.

Frank was a member of First Congregational Church of Clarks, the Lions Club, and American Legion. 

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Wilson of Clarks, NE, a son, Christopher L. Wilson, of Norfolk, NE, a daughter, Virginia M. Griffiths, of North Platte, NE, a step-daughter, Tammy L. and Scott Guthland, of Sykesville, MD, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, Beldon K. and Paula Wilson of Long Beach, CA, and two sisters, H. Eloise Warden of Maryville, MO, and Lois Higley of Pasco, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kennith E. Wilson.
