Dennis W. Beck

Dennis W. Beck, 60, of Fullerton, Nebraska, died Wednesday, March 03, 2010 at his home. Memorial services will be Wednesday March 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M., at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. There will be no visitation. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Dennis was born on November 16, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa. His parents were Ralph W. Beck and Evan A. and Ardeth M. (Overton) Hines. He grew up in Des Moines, and received his education there. He attended Iowa State and Washington State Universities.

He entered the United States Navy on April 20, 1970, and served as an air traffic controller. He was honorably discharged on May 17, 1974, but continued to work as an air traffic controller for the next ten years.

Dennis was united in marriage to Juanita Rodriguez on August 4, 1972 in Alice, TX. The couple lived in Corpus Christi, TX. In 1979, the couple moved to Grand Island and in 1989, they moved to Fullerton, Nebraska. Dennis was working as a sales engineer at Industrial Systems and Supply, Inc. out of Columbus, Nebraska.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and working on cars. He also liked reading historical books about Indians and various wars.

Survivors include his wife Juanita Beck of Fullerton, NE, two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Beck of Kansas City, MO; and Michael and Daneill Beck of Columbus, NE, one daughter, Christina Beck of Fullerton, NE, his father, Evan A. Hines, of Des Moines, IA, a brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Terri Hines of Des Moines, IA, and one sister, Pam Beck of Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
