Marjorie
J. Heule, 83, of the Clarks and Central City areas, died Friday, February 6,
2009 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus, Nebraska. Funeral services
will be Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 10:30 A.M. at Wagner Funeral Home
in Central City with Reverend Valjean Warman officiating. A luncheon will
be served at the United Methodist Church in Central City immediately
following the service, followed by burial at 1:30 P.M. in the Bureau
Cemetery by Pierce Chapel near Clarks. Visitation will be Tuesday, February
10, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Marjorie was born on September 15, 1925 in rural Merrick County to George W. and Bertha Mae (Leeson) Kuhn. She grew up in rural Merrick County and attended school there.
She married Raymond John Heule on February 7, 1942 in York, Nebraska. The couple moved to San Diego, California, where they lived for a short time before moving back to Merrick County. Marjorie was a homemaker and helped with the family farming.
Marjorie was a member of the Senior Center in Clarks, NE. She enjoyed making quilts and gardening. She was always willing to help others when asked, and baked and served food for community functions. Marjorie cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Suzy Heule of Columbus, NE; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Don Coffey of Columbus, NE; Joyce and Del Jonas of Omaha, NE; and Shirley and Francis Hughes of Platte Center, NE, one brother-in-law, Max Miller of Washington, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Heule on April 2, 2008, one grandson, Barry Hughes, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Ruby Kuhn and Gerald and Darlene Kuhn, and four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ila Mae and Howard Lovejoy, Edith and Harold Phelps, Verna and Art Bartlett, and Doris Miller who died February 4, 2009.
