Leora I. Goff, 77, of Crawford, NE, formerly of Central City, NE, died Sunday,
July 19, 2009 at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City. Funeral services
will be Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 4:30 P.M. at Community Bible Church in
Central City, NE with Reverend Gil Larsen officiating. There will be no
visitation. Burial will be Friday, July 24, at 9:00 A.M. in Greenwood Cemetery,
at Chadron, NE followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 A.M. at First
Congregational Church in Crawford, NE with Reverend Bill Bagley officiating.
Wagner Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of the arrangements.
Leora was born on April 14, 1932 to Howard J. and Myrtelle L. (Marpel)
Childerston in North Platte, Nebraska. She grew up in Tryon and Chadron,
Nebraska graduating from Chadron High School in 1950.
She was united in marriage to Wallace Lavern Goff on August 21, 1955 with an
outdoor wedding at Open Door Church in Chadron, NE. The couple lived in Chadron.
Leora was a member of First Baptist Church in Powell, WY, and First
Congregational Church in Crawford, NE.
Survivors include her husband, Wallace Goff of Crawford, NE, a son, Waldo Goff
of Crawford, NE, three daughters and sons-in-law, Lana and Richard Henry of
Kettle Falls, WA; Leah and Don Carey of Richardson, TX; and Luella and Chuck
Myers of Central City, NE, eleven grandchildren, and three brothers and
sisters-in-law, Ward and Vonnie Childerston of Hagerstown, MD; Dale and Barbara
Childerston of Thornton, CO; and Charles and Carol Childerston of Sioux Falls,
SD.
Her parents, a daughter-in-law, Carol Goff, a nephew, Charlie Childerston and
other loved ones preceded her in death.
Memorials are suggested to American Missionary Fellowship in lieu of flowers and
