Alice M. Drummond

Alice M. Drummond, 66, of Central City, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City. Funeral services will be Monday, November 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Doug McHargue officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 22, from 5-7 P.M, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery.

Alice was born on July 2, 1943 in Ord, Nebraska to A.J. and Donna A. (Cox) Wetzel. She grew up in the Loup Valley area and attended schools there.

She was united in marriage to Arlis E. Drummond on February 7, 1960 at Presbyterian Church in Central City. The couple lived in Central City. Alice was employed by Rocket Cafe in Central City, Armour Poultry in Central City, Leon Plastics in Grand Island, CAAP in Grand Island, and Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City for 35 years.

Alice was a member of the Central City Eagles Club since 1985, a past member of the Central City Lions Club, and the Merrickettes Extension Club. She was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in Central City. She enjoyed going to casinos, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Arlis Drummond of Central City, NE; one son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Millicent Drummond of Arlington, OR; one daughter and son-in-law, Arnice and William Brachle of Lindsay, NE; nine grandchildren, Angela (Chad) Randles of Norfolk, NE; Jeremiah Steskal of Lewisville, TX; Lisa Steskal of Austin, TX; Shannon (Jeff) Gress of Clarks, NE; Anthony Drummond of Arlington, OR; Jessica Drummond of Arlington, OR; Nicole Brachle of Lincoln, NE; Heather Brachle of Norfolk, NE; nine great-grandchildren, Shelby Fritz of Norfolk, NE; Clara Orem of Austin, TX; Austin Fritz of Norfolk, NE; Jordan Gress of Clarks, NE; Hunter Gress of Clarks, NE; Dakota Gress of Clarks, NE; Lyric Orem of Austin, TX; Bailey Gress of Clarks, NE; and Kaitlyn Orem of Austin, TX; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Paula Wetzel of Boardman, OR; and Bill and Alice Wetzel of Ord, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, fathers and mothers-in-law, Eldon and Bernice Drummond, and Carolyn and Ronald Rawson, an infant son, Anthony Drummond and one granddaughter, April Drummond.
